Meet Molly Keener, NC LMBT #15818

Some people find massage. Molly was drawn to it through a lifetime of art. As a lifelong artist — drawing, painting, and studying the human body from a structural perspective — she developed a deep fascination with how we're built. Sketching the skeletal and muscular systems didn't just sharpen her eye; it inspired her to understand how our bodies truly work. That same attention to detail and care for process is what you'll feel on the table.

Molly's path in the healing arts began in 1999 with exposure to Polarity Therapy in Columbus, Ohio, and grew from a family rooted in massage. She trained at the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville and has been a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist in our area since 2016. Along the way she's become a Reiki Master and a practitioner of Freedom Bodywork, and she's continued her studies in Weaverville with an instructor who trained directly under Dr. Milton Trager.

What makes a session with Molly special is how deeply she listens. She takes the time to understand what you need and what you're hoping to gain, then draws from a rich toolkit to find the right pressure and techniques for you. She blends precise, technical work with deep relaxation — and, when it feels right, may weave in hot stones, hot towels, aromatherapy, tuning forks, or cupping.

Whether you're longing to drift into blissful relaxation, seeking pain relief and greater range of motion, exploring the benefits of lymphatic drainage, or gently processing emotions, you're in caring, capable hands. As Molly puts it: "I would be honored to be a part of your therapeutic experience."

You choose the length of your session and share your goals — Molly tailors the rest. Most sessions thoughtfully combine more than one approach, so you never have to pick the "perfect" one. Simply arrive as you are; the work will meet you there.

Therapeutic Massage — Deep Tissue & Neuromuscular / Trigger Point Therapy
Focused, results-oriented work for tension, knots, and restricted movement. Molly uses deep tissue, neuromuscular, and trigger point techniques to release chronic tightness, ease pain, and restore range of motion — always at a pressure that's right for you. Ideal if you're carrying stress in your body or working through a specific problem area.

Swedish / Relaxation Massage
Slow, flowing, and deeply soothing. This classic style invites your nervous system to settle, your breath to deepen, and your whole body to let go. Perfect when you simply want to drift into blissful relaxation and reset.

Lymphatic Drainage

A light, rhythmic, gentle technique that supports your body's natural detoxification, fluid balance, and immune system. This is Molly's go-to for helping people find relief from allergies — encouraging the body to clear what's weighing it down. Wonderful for reducing puffiness, supporting circulation, and giving your immune system a helping hand. Clients often say they feel more like themselves afterward — and Molly notices their eyes are always a little brighter.

Reiki
As a Reiki Master, Molly offers gentle energy work that promotes deep calm, balance, and a sense of restoration. A beautifully peaceful choice on its own, or a lovely complement woven into any hands-on session.

Freedom Bodywork
Rooted in the lineage of Dr. Milton Trager, Freedom Bodywork uses gentle, rhythmic movement to help the body release deeply held patterns of tension. It invites a felt sense of ease, lightness, and freedom of movement — mind and body together.

Add-On Enhancements

Therapeutic Cupping — add $20
A soothing, decompressing technique that lifts and gently stretches the tissue to ease tension, encourage circulation, and support release in tight or stubborn areas. Added to your session when desired.

Green Jade Hot Stones — add $15
Smooth, nurturing, warmed green jade stones melt away tension and invite profound relaxation. The gentle, penetrating heat helps muscles soften so the bodywork can go deeper, more comfortably.
